Blend identity: Tesamorelin (GHRH analog, CAS 211924-15-1) and Ipamorelin (GHS,
One catalog SKU can still be two chemicals. Tesamorelin / ipamorelin on this site is a blend listing: two CAS numbers, two sequences, two intact masses, one vial name. A blend is not a third registry number. If the lot paper names only one mass, it has not identified the listing.
This article is laboratory chemical identity. It does not discuss growth-hormone protocols, body composition, or stacking. Tesamorelin exists as a licensed human drug (Egrifta) in some markets. This RUO listing is not that product. Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide secretagogue analogue from the chemical literature; citing a 1998 selectivity paper is not a dosing guide.
Tesamorelin identity
Tesamorelin is trans-3-hexenoyl-GHRH(1-44)-NH2: a 44-residue growth-hormone-releasing hormone analogue with an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl modification and a C-terminal amide. PubChem indexes tesamorelin as CID 16137828 with formula C221H366N72O67S and molecular weight 5136 g/mol. The public CAS is 218949-48-5.1
| Field | Tesamorelin (public listing) |
|---|---|
| CAS | 218949-48-5 |
| PubChem CID | 16137828 |
| Description | trans-3-hexenoyl-GHRH(1-44)-NH2 |
| Formula | C221H366N72O67S |
| MW | ~5136 Da |
| Licensed drug name (not this listing) | Egrifta |
Unmodified GHRH(1-44) is a different molecule: it lacks the hexenoyl cap. A COA that reports a GHRH mass without the acyl modification is not tesamorelin. The C-terminal amide is likewise identity. This RUO SKU is not a finished-drug equivalent of Egrifta, does not inherit that specification, and is not sold as a lipodystrophy product.
Ipamorelin identity
Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide: Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2. PubChem lists CID 9831659, formula C38H49N9O5, molecular weight 711.9 g/mol, CAS 170851-70-4.2 Two residues are D-amino acids and one is aminoisobutyric acid (Aib). A lot synthesized from all-L residues, or with a free C-terminus, is not ipamorelin.
| Field | Ipamorelin (public listing) |
|---|---|
| CAS | 170851-70-4 |
| PubChem CID | 9831659 |
| Sequence (common notation) | Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2 |
| Formula | C38H49N9O5 |
| MW | 711.9 g/mol |
Raun and colleagues described ipamorelin as a selective growth-hormone secretagogue in European Journal of Endocrinology in 1998.3 The citation is chemistry and in-vitro/in-vivo selectivity in laboratory models, not a human protocol and not a reason to buy a blend. This catalog does not sell ipamorelin as a GH secretagogue product for people.
A blend COA must identify both masses
Two peptides in one vial means two theoretical masses and two observed ions (or a documented method that resolves both). A single HPLC area% for “the blend” is not identity of either component. A single CAS typed on the label is a category error. There is no third CAS that means “tesamorelin mixed with ipamorelin.”
Minimum lot paper for this SKU:
- Tesamorelin: sequence/modification line, theoretical ~5136 Da, observed mass.
- Ipamorelin: Aib / D-2-Nal / D-Phe / amide stated, theoretical 711.9 Da class, observed mass.
- HPLC that can be read for each named peak, with method ID — not a single invented house %.
- Component amounts if the work is quantitative. Those amounts are lot data.
Do not invent a mix ratio
This article will not print a milligram:milligram ratio, a percent of vial, or a “typical” fill. If a lot document states a ratio, that ratio belongs to that lot. If it does not, the honest line is “COA on request,” not a blog number. Catalogs that invent 10 mg / 10 mg (or any other pair) without lot paper are writing fiction.
Salt forms differ. Tesamorelin and ipamorelin will not necessarily share a counter-ion or a net peptide content. Weighing arithmetic for a blend is two NPC figures, not one. See HPLC area% vs net peptide content.
Licensed drug versus RUO listing
Egrifta is a tesamorelin product for a licensed indication in some jurisdictions. An RUO blend vial that also contains ipamorelin is not Egrifta, is not a generic of Egrifta, and is not a clinical substitute. Ipamorelin does not become a drug by sitting in the same cake. Keep the names on the PO: two CAS numbers, RUO, laboratory use.
Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out. — Robert Collier

Two named molecules, two CAS numbers. Research use only. Not Egrifta. Lot paper must show both masses. No ratio invented here.
