The cytoskeleton is the network of actin filaments, microtubules and intermediate filaments that gives a cell its shape and lets it move. Laboratories studying cell migration and actin dynamics use well-characterized reference peptides as tools, and this family groups the catalog listings that appear in that literature.
TB-500 research peptide (10mg) is the synthetic acetylated fragment Ac-LKKTETQ, a seven-residue stretch of thymosin beta-4 (PubChem CID 62707662: C38H68N10O14, 889.0 g/mol) [1]. Full-length thymosin beta-4 is a 43-residue protein, which UniProt describes as binding and sequestering actin monomers (G-actin) and so inhibiting actin polymerization [2]. The fragment is a different, much shorter material than the intact protein, so its identity is set by the sequence on the lot documents.
BPC-157 pentadecapeptide (10mg and 20mg) is a 15-residue synthetic peptide. PubChem lists it as C62H98N16O22 with a molecular weight of 1419.5 g/mol (CID 9941957) [3]. It appears in published cell-signaling and cell-migration studies in cell culture and rodent models. Those are research questions, not established outcomes. See also our BPC-157 peptide overview.
The BPC-157 / TB-500 Blend (20mg) carries both sequences in one lyophilized vial, which is why its paperwork lists two CAS numbers (137525-51-0 and 885340-09-2).
